"Walking in a winter wonderland...." ā„ļø Aww, my favorite time of year has arrived: the holidays! December is special for my family and me, as it's our birthday month. We lucked out and celebrate not 1 or 2 but 5 birthdays in 4 weeks! Despite not celebrating Christmas, it's still the best time of year cause there are endless treats to create. This is no exception, and I have been patiently waiting for winter to creep up so I can finally dive and make puppy chow!

Puppy chow is the best snack to make! With so many options for mix-ins, from sweet to savory, it's the perfect snack to munch or the perfect little snack to gift. Make this for your next holiday party, serve this as a snack or appetizer, or even better, make the batch and save it for yourself. Quick disclaimer, this is VERY sweet so eat sparingly!

Puppy Chow šŸ«

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate melting wafers or milk chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter, smooth

  • 4 cups of Chex mix, any flavor will do

  • 3 cups of honey nut cheerios

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 bag of M&MS

  • 1-2 cups of mini marshmallow

  • 1 cup of pretzels

  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips

  • a dash of gold sprinkles, or sprinkles of your choice

Steps:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, add your chocolate wafers and peanut butter and microwave for 90 seconds until melted. Stir well and set aside.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine your cereals. Add the melted cholate/PB mixture and combine well with a spatula until everything is coated with the melted mixture.

  3. In a large ziplock bag, add your powdered sugar, and spoon in the cereal mixture. Making sure your bag is sealed tightly, shake the bag well until everything is coated in sugar.

  4. In a separate clean bowl, spoon the mixture out of the ziploc bag into the bowl. Add all your mix-ins and mix well.

  5. Serve whenever you please.

  6. Bon Appetite!
